If you have two of them stacked it might be tough to add the interior flooring piece. Here s a way to place them while we wait for a fix. Build the rooms first then you can apply stairs for open concept looks.

I attempted various options to try and get them to work but i could not in any building configuration get them to be placed. They can also be used as housing locations for storage containers. If rooms are stacked on top of each other a ladder can be installed from one to the other as long as cuboid room flooring is used between the two levels.
